Jeffery S. Jellick, P.E. is a Project Manager at Carney Engineering Group (CEG), a multi-discipline, forward-looking engineering firm located in York, PA. Jeff joined CEG in 2009, and specifically focuses on connection engineering, working closely with steel fabricators, detailers and contractors to provide solutions for the most efficient structural needs. Jeff routinely performs and manages design, coordinates with steel detailers, creates calculation packages for Engineers of Record and maintains a high-level of knowledge of AISC specifications, industry standards and fabricator and erector preferences. Jeff is involved from a project’s proposal through the design and construction phase, achieving desired scope, budget and schedule requirements, seeing projects through to completion.



Jeff has eight years’ experience in structural design, overseeing various industry projects including schools, office buildings, warehouses, higher education facilities, hotels, visitor centers and general building renovations.

Why do you do this for a living?
Because I have always enjoyed working in the construction industry. When I went to college, structural engineering seemed the logical fit and so far it has worked out.

What are your hobbies?
Hunting, because I love being in the woods or on the stream trying to outsmart different types of wildlife.

How would your friends and family describe you?
Laid back.

If you had the opportunity to travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Alaska. I haven't been there yet and it seems to be a very wild place.

What would your perfect week consist of?
Relaxing at the river with family.

What is the one thing that you do that drives other people nuts?
I like my desk to be neat and organized.

What three items would you want to have if you were stranded on a desert island?
A satellite phone. A butane lighter. A survival guide book.
