Forensic Investigations and Engineering

We are not CSI, and so far have not managed to score a reality TV show, but when it comes to understanding what makes a building work (or not work) we are in our power zone.  Our forensic work ranges from structural adequacy assessments of historic or otherwise aged structures, failure investigations, expert witness testimony, and even the garden variety “Is that crack in my wall something to worry about?” 

While we enjoy designing and detailing buildings, our experience with multiple building types and structural systems means we can answer your questions about the How, What, and Why as it relates to your building.  We enjoy the challenge of figuring out the answers to questions like feasibility of making building additions, explaining of undesirable building shifting or movement, and getting to the bottom of structural failures.
