General Project Description: New construction of a 5-story, 68,800 square foot, 107 bed hotel and conference center.
Description of structural features: The new hotel and conference will be constructed with a combination of structural steel and wood framing. The building will be constructed with a slab-on-grade at the 1st level, a concrete slab-on-metal deck supported by composite structural steel beams at the 2nd level, and all wood framing for the 3rd through 5th floor and roof levels. The lateral load resisting system will consist of reinforced concrete masonry shear walls at the stair and elevator shafts and other miscellaneous locations. CEG utilized Autodesk® Revit® Structure software to complete this project.
